The 2019 PBEM Duel Tournament is finished.

- A PBEM tournament (the 2015 PBEM Duel Tournament) was organized and started in 2015. It was split into 3 tournaments (16 players; 8 players #1 and 8 players #2). It entered its final phase (between the winners of each of the 3 branches) in October 2016 and was won by gabthegab in March 2017. - The 2016 2vs2 Team PBEM tournament started on 15 July 2016 and was won by team Coup de Grâce (gabthegab and Tussel) on 23 October 2018. The finale and the semi-finale (the match in between was conceded by team Green elephant).
- The 2017 PBEM Duel Tournament started on 31 January 2017 and was won by gabthegab on 18 October 2018. The finale(gabthegab vs Jean de Metz) and the videos.
The 2018 PBEM 2vs2 Tournamentstarted on 17 September 2018 and was won by Dread & Mac (DreadReapr and marcuspers) on 1 June 2020. The 3vs3 Tournament started on 12 February 2018 and was won by Dos Equis XX ($eeR+El_Lobo+Badok) on 30 April 2021 , it has its own, dedicated, Pool: 2018 PBEM Team Mini-Tournament Discussion Pool The Championsleague:
Season 1 started on 13 October 2021 and was won by mahimka. It ended on 4 April 2022. Season 2 should start on 25 April 2022.

It is for instance suggested to remove Treasures (gold and mana stashes). There is also a debate on the Fast speed setting.

Round 6 starts in a bit more than 1 day, xlnt and Saunattontu, please send your class/race to judges ASAP.
personian and Skuns get a 1 week extension to compensate for judging time, so mahimka you'll have to wait a bit more.
Round 6 will be played on v1.29 of the balance mod. Round 7 will probably also be played on v1.29 (to allow for testing of v1.3) while the round after should be played on v1.3.

So, after the departures of Pandapocalypse and Reckless Mortals, Dread & Mac are declared winners of the tournament! Deaf Ogres NWO are 2nd. Congratz to both of them for their 5 victories, 1 defeat for the winners and 4 victories, 2 defeats for the finalists.

Pandapocalypse are going to be replaced in round 5. This is how it will proceed:
Currently we have 2 matches ongoing in round 5:
- match #1: Mab's Sons vs Dread & Mac

The losers from matche #1 and #2 wills play a qualification match. The winner of the qualification match will replace Pandapocalypse
Oh really sad to have Pandocalypse leave so "shortly" before the end But I have a small suggestion regarding the replacement rule, because this rule will essentially lead to one of the loosers of the current round ending up in a better position (in the winners bracket) than the winners of the current round. So I suggest a modification: Everything is played as described by Hiliadan, but the Winner of the qualification match is continuing in the loosers bracket and his current opponent gets to replace Pandocalypse.
To make an example:
Mabs sons win vs Dread & mac
SleepingDog & Personian win against the Deaf Ogres NWO
In the the Qualification match Dread & Mac win against the Deaf Ogres NWO
-> Dread & Mac play against SleepingDog and personian in the loosers bracket and Mab's Sons replace Pandocalpyse (in the winners bracket)
That way a team that would normally get out gets another chance and a team that would be in the loosers bracket gets an upgrade as opposed to a team that has just been beaten suddenly ends up in a better position because they won the qualification match.
And honestly I wouldn't even mind if the qualification match was something faster like a livegame or even just a diceroll. Because otherwise everyone else will have to wait for a full PBEm team match and "reckless mortals" will effectively have two full PBEM rounds of waiting for their opponent...
I will of course consent with any rule the judges decide on! Just wanted to add my two cents here
