Hiliadan, regarding the proposed mod changes I still feel too inexperienced to figure if a change would be good or not, all the more since the rationale for the changes are missing : what would, in my opinion, help to get feedback would be to explain the reason for the change, possibly among all the objectives of the PBEM mod version (e.g. nerf Necro, etc.).

By the way I wonder if introducing some kind of rock/paper/scissors balacing to the game could be done ? This way it would maybe not matter so much if a given class is strong against a class, provided it is similarly weak against another class.

Both the main branch and the beta branch of the balance mod have been updated by Zaskow to be compatible with v1.8 POSEIDON from Triumph. So now all tournament games should be able to continue. Sorry for the trouble, but we need to update the mod manually each time Triumph releases a new official patch.

It's the last 3 days to vote for the poll What are your difficulties when playing Necromancer? so please have a look at it and cast your vote, so that we can fine-tune Necro based on the difficulties or absence of difficulties of the community.

With the old games not playable after recent game update. I think we need to update the PBEM and PBEM beta mods to current version of the game.

@Imperium: finally the players who were not responsive managed to start their game so there will be no replacement (for now at least).

@all: a quick update to say that Triumph released v1.8 officially so now all tournament games need to be played on v1.8. It has been released on Steam and GoG (though the GoG patch seems weird to me but maybe they'll improve it tomorrow, I haven't installed it yet).

== Tournaments ==
For both 2vs2 Team Tournament and Duel Tournament, a few rules have been updated to clarify certain stuff and take into account recent developments.
Rule 1 is now worded: "The team with the highest cumulated score for non-eliminated players (dead players have 0 point) then wins the match. If scores are very close, the judges can decide that it is a draw and decide a replay the game with a shorter deadline (for instance 1 month), an extension or another solution (including awarding victory to one team), based on the circumstances of the march and the tournament."
This has been added to rule 3: "If a player skips his turn because of the timer, it is not allowed to revert the turn: the host should remove the turn timer and players should notify judges and wait for their indications on how to continue."
This has been added to rule 7: "When the rules are imprecise or do not cover a case, Judges have flexibility to take the most appropriate decisions."

Please note that turn reverts are forbidden in tournaments. If someone skips his turn and a revert is necessary, please notify judges and remove turn timer before continuing the game.

== 2vs2 Team Tournament ==
Match #20 from round 3 reached turn 72 by the deadline of the end of the round but no team was defeated. Judges are currently discussing to confirm the initial conclusion that the match should continue for 2 weeks as the scores of the 2 teams were very close. As soon as the judges agree on something, we should see clearer what happens to match #20.
The round 4 game between Bastards of the North and Zia was allowed to start nonetheless.
Round 5 will start in about 11 weeks (probably more).

== 2vs2 Team Tournament ==
Round 3 ends today but xlnt is away so the start of round 4 may be delayed a bit, we'll see.
In any case, we need the class/race of:
- Olop
- AlX
- Ezekiel
And also as soon as the current ongoing match is finished:
- rrrrookie
- Jonny Thunder
- the 2 winners of the match

The winner bracket does NOT play now, they play again in round 5. Round 4 will last 11 weeks, as round 3 and as future rounds.

== Balance ==
v1.21 will be released on the main branch tomorrow if we manage to end the ongoing match of round 3 of the 2vs2 Team Tournament, otherwise it will probably be Monday.
Work for v1.22 is moving, not as fast as I'd like, but we're making good progress. We'll probably deal with many small issues and one big new topic, heroes' abilities balancing. The topic of "rarely used units" will probably be pushed to v1.23 as we lack sufficient feedback to validate changes that have already been proposed for other topics and I prefer to focus energy on getting the backlog of priority changes cleared first.
v1.22 should be used for round 4 (and not 3) of the Duel Tournament and 5 of the 2vs2 Team Tournament. It will NOT be ready for round 3 of the Duel Tournament as far as I can see.

All games started but three:
- Jundland vs Ezekiel: Jundland needs to host and posts the screenshots of the settings
- natnat vs DreadReapr: same but with natnat as host (+ natnat needs to send class/race to judges)
- Blackcat vs Melciar: Blackcat needs to send class/race to judges, Melciar needs to host and post the screenshots of the settings

== 2vs2 Team Tournament ==
Only 2 games still ongoing (including 1 which I think is finished?). An extension of 2 days has been asked to the judges as a big bug on a tactical battle seems to have been discovered (the result is different from what is displayed on the replay + some units acted very strangely, suiciding themselves by taking attacks of opportunities instead of finishing units with 1 or 6 HP left) and the devs may be able to investigate it.
The judges will decide soon if this extension is given or not.
Without extension, the round ends in 7 days and 15 hours.

REMINDER: both round 2 of the 2017 PBEM Duel Tournament and round 4 of the PBEM 2vs2 Team Tournament will be played with v1.21 of the balance mod.
It is likely that the Duel Tournament will be played on the beta branch of the balance mod, which would thus be frozen on a stable v1.21 build for the duration of the round (because we cannot update the main branch as long as round 3 of the Team tournament is ongoing).

@DarkRider: Builder can still build bridges with Basic Seafaring, it hasn't been changed. Some hex configurations prevent from building bridges.
