This epic game came to an end in turn 96!
As I said, Jean and me decided to meet at neutral ground and do the fight, here is the video of the 2 fights. Highlight of the fight must be my leader soloing 3 Dreadreaprs before he went down to 6hp and fled the battle.
I think after i successfully managed to take Eskilds northern cities as well as Fist's cities, it was only going to be 1 outcome. I could then convert all the cities to Dwarfs and finish the monoculture, get cheerful cities and very good mana, research and cp.
I had a very good staring position, bottom left corner in the under ground. Surrounded by lava and mountains so hard to attack, even though Eskild came relativly close before he aborted his mission. By the way, it was a good battle with Eskild mid game when he was super strong after taking all Tussels cities.
Thanks for the game everyone, was nice to experience truly end game battles and spells!

nice game! thpought about surrender after a heavy loss, but recovered due to good income and got a lucky shot at my enemy who was preparing for a siege at the only bridge out of my territory. Then I run to one of his cities there I was able to kill his king another time without heavy losses (regrowth bonus and fire protection (technocrate heroe)
We both learned something in this duel 
The next round I will play against my brother I think, we can make the set-ups together, so NO SCREENS NEEDED xD
We are on round 32, it has been a back and forth game. No end in sight.

I never said I´m not interested. I have time issues and didn´t read each word/ kept them in mind.
I wanted to keep the turney going, so I started.
It would be fine for me if I never have to create the maps, don´t want screens from my opponent anyway.
The moment I cheat in this game, I can stop playing here and play single games again...

Rule 2:
- "Players can arrange whatever settings (e.g. no dwellings) they choose, but in the absence of consensus, the settings described in the "In-Game settings" above are to be considered the default. The host must take screenshots of the settings and post them publicly (so that his opponent and the judges can access them) before the match starts."
And ideally, the settings should be posted with windowed mode screenshot, so that you can see the date they are taken.
Of course, you can cheat and take screenshots of another game. But we hope players are honest (and if they're not, there is nothing we can do) and one aim is also to spot mistakes made by players to correct them. It happened several times that people misread the settings in the rules.
You will not be disqualified because of that, you receive an official warning.
Please put more goodwill in following the rules and in the tournament. If you weren't interested at all, why did you join?
That's not a big deal here, so I hope we settle the issue with this official warning.

Why should screenshots make any sense? There is no proof that they refer to this game. I didn´t made any but sticked to the settings that are listed in the 1st tournament. I sent my race and class to Mark via Steam. Not sure he realised it, but I will do it a 2nd time..

I was trying to harass Tussell, hoping his leader was in the southeast corner. He was able to quickly and effectively put my attack down with eagle riders.
I played a poor game. My vassal was hostile and I lost a lot of good men storming the town

Hiliadan: Nothing special with the harassment besides hurting the dreadnaught´s economy. I caught rrrookie´s lands quite unguarded, so the crows and an eagle rider (can´t recall where I got that) could pose a threat and be within reach of the cities to cast incite revolt and rally of the populace. Moreover, as my economy was booming, these flying buggers could do a buy out at the inn near Verther-Gari taking that city by force before my main armies slowly clearing their way from south to north emerged at the capitol.

Well here goes - the long wall of text, which this game deserved as I had fun and it have transpired for quite some time.
Miracula, my leader in this game, a draconian rogue, creation adept, and with keeper of the peace mastery emerged in Slafi Hix to embark on her conquest for peace in the realm. My location was lucky in more than one regards as I quickly made contact with two settlements an elven town and a draconian outpost, to the east and northwest of my capitol respectively. Due to my positive relations with independent cities I managed to vassalize the elven town Lymene, which was by default fated as vassal or conquest of my elven archdruid neighbor of Lord Zytozid, which was localized in his capitol of Liarus in the eastern end of the south of the realm played in.
I scoured the brink of his realm clearing some good sites there with the fire-spitting buggers, flamers and elders, and some elven reinforcements while sending my leader and heroes in the NW direction at around the same time that the Ranger was kicked from the game for not taking his turns or responding to our messages. Luck was also a factor there as he was playing elven warlord and I thus gained more trust and racial happiness from the elves, thus boosting my income from Lymene, plus not much later I was able to vassalize another elven settlement, the outpost of Sur Carys.
Another piece of luck came from recruiting the good old tigran sorceror with the flying mount, which made movement with my rogue leader easier
From there on, I decided to split my heroes and went treasure hunting to the south with Miracula and her new sorceror companion in the thick stream of land east of Elindi, former capitol of the Ranger and eventually went with the pack of charmed troops, newly recruited assassins and dungeon recruits around my capitol and straigth north to assault Migas the draconian (more luck) dreadnaught that rrrookie was playing, and that I had harrassed with rally of the populace plus incite revolt with crows and a halfling eagle rider.
Around that time another hero (necromancer) had emerged, which was kept going by racial reinforcements - elders and raptors and an assassin to conquer the SW strip of land and to go underground and hunt for more treasure. So the fight was kept going on the surface with the conquering of rrrookies land - in the SW and the UG with a necromancer on the hunt and also hunting in the underground in the north I had a a theocrat hero, which managed to convert quite an impressive army among his way through the icy forest in the northwestern map and then in a straigth line east in the UG to conquer an independent goblin settlement as well as another goblin town, a vassal of Migas, the dreadnaught.
Biggest catch of the game, a ziggurat cleared efficiently with my necromancer hero and his underground party, with an undying wraith absorbing the damage:
718 gold and two pretty useful items...
With a lot of treasure hunters keeping the economy booming, I was able to start recruiting dedicated to good shadow stalkers, which meditated their way through the treacherous conquest of Zytozid´s land, which had turned into a haunted forest through a quite swift conquest of Tussell - Mini the Lich King. So that kind of made me anxious of when to expect that Tussell would initiate his attack against my troops as we now shared borders both in the south and the north, where Tussell inhabited the northeast. Surprisingly Mini offered me peace up there, but as his empire was now well spread out over all the eastern part of the surface I knew I had to refuse and attack him, where I felt the only way to do that was to form an alliance with Gnome P´istolle, dwarven sorceror and friends of dragons (he had vassalized the dragons both on the surface and in the underground) and that way initiate a war without being perceived as evil by my humble followers.
Quickly, I managed to annex the ghouled elven cities of Zytozid´s former living souls in the south while my leader and sorceror did some reckless assaults into the lands of the Lich King and did not move very stealthy due to the champion yeti amongst the ranks. Mini initiated an efficient battle sending my leader to the void and his pack to their graves. However, my other hero-led armies were still steamrolling their encounters and still upheld the healthy economy so more stalkers were recruited and when my leader was back from the void, she went for an uncleared dungeon moments before Migas emerged from a long absence (without a throne or any cities) in the UG in the far SW to meet his demise a single round before the end of the game as he had to deal with my leader, a lot of cheap´o elders (56 gold and 12 mana from racial governance) and the rescued dungeon adepts.
Around the same time, my good old tigran sorceror was ressurected at Liarkora and I had finally gone unharmed in and conquered two of the cities of the undead halfling king as he was preoccupied dealing with an invasion from the far northeast led by Gnome P´istolle. The game ended as the Lich King met his demise simultaneously as Migas in a cruel and close battle in Midshire, while Gnome at the same time surrendered.

Skuns and I ganged up on Tussell (Mini the Lich King). My silly excuse is that I was playing keeper of the peace master so I couldn´t declare war on Tussell in any other way (than forming an alliance) without upsetting my armies. Tussell was shadowborn master by the way.
I knew it was lame and had of course planned to betray Skuns after defeating Tussell, but it never came to that as Skuns surrendered after Tussell initiated the fight where his leader got killed by my dedicated to good stalkers and their company.
As mentioned I will make a thorough report sooner or later.

nice game! thpought about surrender after a heavy loss, but recovered due to good income and got a lucky shot at my enemy who was preparing for a siege at the only bridge out of my territory. Then I run to one of his cities there I was able to kill his king another time without heavy losses (regrowth bonus and fire protection (technocrate heroe)
We both learned something in this duel
The next round I will play against my brother I think, we can make the set-ups together, so NO SCREENS NEEDED xD

Hey there! That's quite a lot of ranking points in this game.
The game value is 90, and the highest game value we have ever had so far was 93 so that was a high level game! (though the top 8 games will probably beat the record).
I guess it would be better if the ranks of everyone could be recorded more precisely. That would not change the points for Tussel but it would for everyone below. Nobody remembers who died first between AlX, Mark and Skuns? cbower and mauve quitted so should probably be 8th and 7th (or 7th ex-aequo).
The class/race would also be nice for the stats! https://www.the-battlefield.c... Tussel, AlX, personian and Dread, you probably know your own class/race, right? You can edit the report through the drop down menu and: "Edit the report". Thanks!

I've looked through my messages and see nothing related to this game so I suppose I never sent anything unless I talked to one of the judges through some other medium. I don't recall who was which race and am surprised you do, I remember very little from this game as it seems like a life time ago.

While updating the class/race for round 5, I discovered that it seems we didn't have the class/race of gab and Tussel for this match... I said so in the game blog and no judge gave a green light to start the match.
So Tussel and gab, did you remember sending the class/race? Do you have PM or emails showing it?
Also, a small detail: isn't it Fistandantilus who was playing AD and Warlord playing Theo? Would be good to correct if that was the case, to display correct personal stats on their profile (can be interesting for opponents to assess their playstyle ).

nice game! thpought about surrender after a heavy loss, but recovered due to good income and got a lucky shot at my enemy who was preparing for a siege at the only bridge out of my territory. Then I run to one of his cities there I was able to kill his king another time without heavy losses (regrowth bonus and fire protection (technocrate heroe)
We both learned something in this duel
The next round I will play against my brother I think, we can make the set-ups together, so NO SCREENS NEEDED xD
We are on round 32, it has been a back and forth game. No end in sight.

I never said I´m not interested. I have time issues and didn´t read each word/ kept them in mind.
I wanted to keep the turney going, so I started.
It would be fine for me if I never have to create the maps, don´t want screens from my opponent anyway.
The moment I cheat in this game, I can stop playing here and play single games again...

Rule 2:
- "Players can arrange whatever settings (e.g. no dwellings) they choose, but in the absence of consensus, the settings described in the "In-Game settings" above are to be considered the default. The host must take screenshots of the settings and post them publicly (so that his opponent and the judges can access them) before the match starts."
And ideally, the settings should be posted with windowed mode screenshot, so that you can see the date they are taken.
Of course, you can cheat and take screenshots of another game. But we hope players are honest (and if they're not, there is nothing we can do) and one aim is also to spot mistakes made by players to correct them. It happened several times that people misread the settings in the rules.
You will not be disqualified because of that, you receive an official warning.
Please put more goodwill in following the rules and in the tournament. If you weren't interested at all, why did you join?
That's not a big deal here, so I hope we settle the issue with this official warning.

Why should screenshots make any sense? There is no proof that they refer to this game. I didn´t made any but sticked to the settings that are listed in the 1st tournament. I sent my race and class to Mark via Steam. Not sure he realised it, but I will do it a 2nd time..

Hi! Please stop the game for now and post he settings here as screenshots or links or something (or did I miss them?). Judge and opponent must see the screenshots of the game, as required in the rules...
EDIT: also, gladis, did you send your class / race to Markymark or Fistandantilus? I didn't receive them.
